About Us
Bonibi is a coffee shop with a stage in the back. By morning we pour single-origin espresso and slow filter coffee; by evening the room turns into a small live-music venue where local artists play to a full house of regulars. Both rooms are the same room, and that is the whole idea.
Our story
Founded in Westlake Village, Bonibi began as a conversation between friends who wanted a neighborhood spot that took coffee seriously and made room for the artists they loved. One bag of green coffee, one borrowed espresso machine, and one upright piano later, the door opened. We have been brewing — and listening — ever since.

What makes Bonibi different
Most coffee shops close when the espresso machine cools off. We keep the lights on. The same counter that pulls your morning cortado serves an evening crowd watching a singer-songwriter on our stage, and that overlap is the point — a place where the people who make the morning possible are the same people who make the evenings worth showing up for.
Coffee philosophy
We are a specialty coffee shop. That means we source carefully, we taste relentlessly, and we serve coffee that can stand up to being drunk black. Day to day, that shows up as:
- Espresso — a seasonal house blend pulled to taste, plus rotating single-origin specials
- Pour-over — slow filter coffee from one origin at a time, brewed to order
- Batch brew — for when you need it fast and we still want it to be excellent
- Cold brew and seasonal drinks — refreshing without the sugar bomb
If you are new to specialty coffee, ask the barista what they are most excited about today. That is the answer.
Bonibi Space — our stage
The back room is Bonibi Space, our small-format performance venue. We host singer-songwriter nights, listening sessions, and the occasional curated showcase. Capacity is intimate by design — the artist can see the room and the room can hear the artist.

Community first
Bonibi is a neighborhood shop before it is anything else. We host open-mic nights, neighborhood meetups, and small fundraisers for causes close to home. If you live or work nearby, this is your room as much as it is ours.
Our values
We believe in ethically sourced, locally roasted, and honestly served coffee. We pay our staff fairly, we treat our farmers' work as the craft it is, and we keep the door open for the artists who give the room its voice.
